Bismarck shipwreck site is located in the Sacramento River, near the city of Sacramento, the U.S. Coast Guard announced on Monday.
The site is in a protected area that is under federal protection, according to the Coast Guard.
“We are still trying to find the location of the shipwreck,” the Coast Guards said in a statement.
“It was the last of two ships found there.”
The Bismarcks sister shipwreck in the San Francisco Bay has been located in Santa Cruz since January.
More than 200 artifacts have been recovered from the site, including two bronze statues and one bronze statue with the name “Jasper” on it, the Coast Guide said.
A small boat was found in the bay, along with two copper vessels that were believed to be the remains of a ship that sank off the coast of British Columbia.
It is not yet known how many artifacts are still missing.
