Deku ships ships on its way to Syria, US says

Deku, the Japan-based maker of a range of home-grown devices, said it would ship its first ships from its home port of Yokohama to Syria and Jordan.

The company said the ships would be carrying 5,000 square meters (1,900 square feet) of devices and will be used for medical treatment, food and cleaning.

Deku has already signed up a number of companies to build its first commercial vessels.

Its previous vessels, the Deku Manta and the Dekiya, have sailed to the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oman and Morocco.

Dekiya ships also carry medical devices and medical supplies.

The vessels are expected to arrive in the Mediterranean Sea by the end of October, Deku said.
